Rishikesh is a very famous place in Uttarakhand. A visit to this place is required whenever you go to Rishikesh. Otherwise your trip will look incomplete. 1) Triveni Ghat

Triveni Ghat is a sacred ghat in Rishikesh for Ganga Aarti. The word Triveni means confluence of three. It is said that the three main rivers of Hinduism, Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati converge here. Rishikesh is the main ghat for bathing. . The Aarti of the river Ganga at Triveni Ghat is Thai, a large number of locals and foreigners can be seen enjoying it during the Aarti.

2) Laxman Jhula

Laxman is the main attraction of Rishikesh city. The bridge is an iron bridge over the river Ganga, which is 450 feet long and connects Pauri district with Tehri district. The name of the bridge is derived from the fact that Lord Rama's younger brother Lakshman crossed the river Ganga with a rope. Located on the river and from here you can see the beautiful views of a number of temples from this hammock. The present bridge was built in 1929 when the old bridge (built 1989) was damaged in the flood.

3) Ram Jhula 

Ram Jhula site in Rishikesh is very popular, so whenever visiting, visit this place. Ram Jhula is also a famous place in Rishikesh. It is an iron suspension bridge over the holy Ganges River. Ram Jhula is 450 feet in length which connects Shivanand Ashram with paradise.Ram Zula was created by the PWD in the Ganges River and Rishikeshma Ram Zula in 1986 and its length is slightly higher than that of Laxman Jhula. Ram Jhula connects Shivanand ashram and paradise. A permanent iron suspension bridge was constructed by the PWD with the help of the 1980 Shivanand Ashram.

4) Neelkanth Mahadev Temple

Nilkanth Mahadev is 32 km from Rishikesh, located at an altitude of 1330 km. According to a legend, Lord Shiva drank the poison released during Samudra Manthan at this place and after his throat turned blue, he became known as Nilkanth. Hot springs are found in the temple complex where devotees take a holy bath before visiting the temple.

5) Kunjpuri Devi Temple

6) Rishikund

The ancient Yugama lake was used by the Rishimunis, the lake is adjacent to the Raghunath Temple and close to Triveni Ghat.

7) Vashishtha Cave

Vashishtha Cave One of the seven great sages of ancient India comes to say that the sage was Vashisht's holy abode. According to legend, Rishi Vashisht decided to commit suicide in the Ganges River after the death of his child.However, the Ganges River refused to accept his application. Then Vashisht's wife, Arundhati, decided to stay in the cave. Saint Vashisht stayed in the cave for a long time and meditated. With the passing of time, a monastery developed near the cave. According to Hindu mythology, Rishi Vashishtha was one of the seven great Rishis, the son of Lord Brahman.

8) Raghunath Temple

Lord Rama and mother Sita are worshiped in Raghunath Temple.It is believed that this temple was established during the 8th century by Adi Shankaracharya and later by the Garhwal Empire. The temple is originally from the 10th century. It is believed that Lord Rama killed Ravana. Ravana was a Brahmin. Therefore, Lord Ram did penance on this place to get rid of the murder of Brahman.It is believed that Lord Brahma, who created the universe,He did penance at this place and this place became known as Prayag.

9) Lakshman Temple
